Aquatics Manager NF-03
Manages and supervises aquatic programs at Torii Pool and Waterslide, including staff supervision, budget formulation, and program planning.
Serves as the aquatics manager responsible for managing and supervising the aquatic programs.
Assist the program manager with a wide variety of management and administrative tasks associated with operating a fully functional activity that is safe and enjoyable for all participants.
Participates in and or leads the planning process that results in providing a wide range of fairly typical, conventional and well-established basic aquatic activities.
Formulates, executes, and reviews budgetary data and financial reports. Develops, updates and reviews Standard Operating Procedures and other policies and ensures their continued enforcement.
Interviews and selects staff and provides orientation, training and supervision. Provides leadership, direction, management and analysis of all aspects of the program as required.

Required Qualifications
A qualified candidate must possess the following:
- Demonstrated experience in planning, organizing, coordinating, supervising, administering and executing aquatic programs
- This experience may have been gained managing indoor or outdoor recreational or competitive aquatic programs and facilities
- Possession of the following certificates is a requirement:
- Current lifeguard certification
- Current First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent
- Current Aquatic Facilities Operator (AFO) or Pool Operator certification
- Current Certification in Water Safety Instructor
- O2 Administration
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":
- Lifeguard Instructor certification
- English/Japanese bilingual

This position is located at Torii Pool and Waterslide, Torii Station, Okinawa.
Incentives and Bonuses: Incentives will not be paid.
Area of Consideration: This job is open to all candidates in local commuting area. This includes Military Spouse Preference (MSP), Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) and Family Member Preference (FMP) eligible candidates.
PCS Costs: Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Allowances and Differentials: This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Foreign overseas allowances, cost of living allowance (COLA), and differentials will not be paid. Living Quarter Allowance (LQA) is not authorized. Post Allowance will be paid upon eligibility.

Healthcare Access and Availability: Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only.
Work Schedule: Must be able to work flexible schedule weekends, nights, early mornings and special events to meet mission requirement. Incumbent should be available to work within facility open hours.
