Responsible for receiving, storing, tracking, and delivering materials and tools between storage facilities and customer locations, ensuring inventory accuracy and safe handling.
Position Summary
Inventory Store Technician is responsible for receiving, storing, tracking, and delivering materials and tools between designated storage facilities and customer locations. This role plays a key part in inventory accuracy, safe material handling, timely delivery operations, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Forklift certification and a valid driver’s license for base operation are required.

Key Responsibilities
Receiving, Inventory, & Storage
- Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments.
- Verify and document all deliveries against shipping records.
- Label and stage materials with barcodes and tracking numbers.
- Store items properly in assigned warehouse locations.
- Support physical inventories (monthly 10% checks and annual counts).
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or restocking needs.
Tool Control & Resident Support
- Issue and track tools loaned to military family housing residents and technicians.
- Follow up on overdue tools and report damage or losses.
- Provide instruction on basic tool usage as part of the Self-Help program.
- Clear residents’ tool accounts during housing out-processing.
Hazardous Material Handling
- Safely store and transport hazardous materials according to SDS requirements.
- Collect household hazardous waste from multiple locations.
- Deliver waste to the approved Kadena disposal facility.
- Maintain proper labels and documentation for all hazardous materials.
Documentation & Reporting
- Record all material movement in inventory systems.
- Generate delivery and inventory reports as directed.
- Maintain accurate records for audits and performance checks.
General Warehouse & Vehicle Maintenance
- Keep storage areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Report facility issues or security concerns to the appropriate authority.
- Keep vehicles clean, fueled, and in operational condition.
Requirements
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license (approved for base driving).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor.
- Basic computer and inventory system literacy.
Preferred
- Experience in military or government logistics environments.
- Familiarity with hazardous materials handling and disposal.
- Experience using barcode-based inventory systems.
