Administrative Officer
Serves as the primary administrative official for a battalion, responsible for planning, developing, and executing the administrative management program.
Serves as the Battalion primary administrative official with responsibility for planning, development, and execution of the Administrative Management program.
Performs a variety of duties pertaining to all aspects of personnel management, reorganization, organization structuring, position management, and manpower utilization.
Provides advice and assistance on the processes and procedures of performance management systems, the incentive awards and beneficial suggestion program, and/or other productivity measurement and improvement programs.
Advises management on civilian personnel matters by researching laws, regulations, and directives related to personnel procedures.
Coordinates with management and higher headquarters to develop and implement command policies and procedures concerning personnel management.
Supervises subordinate personnel and assigns work to subordinate personnel in support of personnel management mission.

Specialized Experience
One year of specialized experience which includes: Providing administrative support for a military organization in manpower management, civilian human resources advisement, and the development of administrative policies, regulations, and procedures.
Education
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration, Business Communications, Business Management.
Combination of Education and Experience
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
Time in Grade Requirement
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).

Pay retention may be offered to selected applicants for positions at overseas locations.
Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations.
Relocation incentives may be authorized for eligible candidates.
