International Middle Years Curriculum Mathematics Teacher

Responsibilities

  • Teach mathematics classes to learners aged between 11-14 following our Singapore Mathematics-IMYC aligned curriculum
  • Effectively plan out units of work in a timely manner
  • Teach that knowledge, skills and understanding are of equal value and essential for growth in learning
  • Promote a growth mindset, International Mindedness and Global Competency to the learners
  • Embed the school’s personal learning goals into their lessons
  • Regularly assess learners ongoing performance level for growth and development alongside the mathematics learning goals
  • Organise mathematics materials and resources which are age appropriate
  • Use a variety of activities and instructional methods to motivate and stimulate children’s abilities
  • Collaborate with other colleagues with respect
  • Maintain an open line of communication with families and provide regular educational updates on how learners are progressing
  • Follow and comply with the teaching expectations and safety regulations of the school

Requirements

Qualifications

  • BA in Mathematics (or other maths-related degree)
  • A valid teacher qualification/certification
  • Proficient in English
  • Previous experience with the IMYC curriculum is welcome but not required
