Summary
HII Mission Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Senior Operations Research Analyst to support airborne Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) readiness and assessment activities in Okinawa, Japan. This senior-level role provides advanced technical analysis, acoustic expertise, and operational insight that enhances airborne ASW and Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft (MPRA) mission performance across the Western Pacific. The analyst will play a key role in evaluating mission data, supporting training events, and identifying opportunities to improve ASW sensor utilization and tactical effectiveness.

What You Will Do
- Lead technical analysis of airborne MPRA and ASW mission data, training events, and operational assessments
- Conduct advanced acoustic analysis using sensor recordings, sonobuoy data, and post-mission products
- Maintain modern MPRA tactical knowledge by attending conferences/meetings and provide training and/or briefings as required for familiarization, event review, data collection and other requirements
- Provide recommendations to improve MPRA and ASW sensor employment, system performance, and tactical execution
- Support airborne MPRA and ASW readiness activities, evaluations, and training events in the Western Pacific region
- Assist with planning, data collection, execution, and post-event reporting in alignment with program requirements
- Prepare analytical reports, documentation, and mission-focused technical products
- Coordinate logistics and administrative needs associated with mission analysis and training support
- Support surge analysis or operational demands based on mission requirements
- Mentor personnel on MPRA and ASW concepts, acoustic interpretation, and sensor system employment
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience
- Experience in leadership, supervision, training, or mentoring of technical personnel
- Experience working with MPRA and ASW systems, sensors, mission equipment, or operational employment
- Experience supporting airborne MPRA in the Western Pacific region
- Expertise in acoustic analysis, MPRA operational concepts, and sensor data interpretation
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to support fast-paced, forward-deployed aviation operations
- Active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- U.S. Navy School training related to acoustic systems, sonar operations, or sensor technologies
- Training in airborne MPRA mission systems or tactical concepts
- Experience supporting training, readiness, or evaluation activities for airborne maritime patrol units
- Experience working with Navy aviation, technical, or operational organizations
- Familiarity with airborne MPRA mission system tools, acoustic analysis software, or post-mission reconstruction workflows
- Background in operational research supporting airborne MPRA missions
- Minimum 15 years of experience working with maritime MPRA and ASW sensor systems, airborne acoustic technologies, or related undersea warfare capabilities in military or comparable technical environments
