Soccer Referee

The main duty of a referee is to watch over the game and enforce fair play. Referees have a right to sanction players with yellow or red cards, stop or terminate the game due to risk factors, and assess fouls and penalties. Referees are also in charge of keeping time and providing a game report to league officials.

Basketball Referee

Specific responsibilities of basketball referees include calling fouls and administering and enforcing changes of possessions or free throws. The authority of referees includes calling unsportsmanlike conduct penalties, player or coach ejections, or even calling a forfeit of the game in certain circumstances. Referees are also responsible for maintaining order during stoppages in play, and can assess technical fouls or eject players for rules infractions during stoppages.

Volleyball Referee

The main role of a Referee is to make sure that the rules of the game they are officiating are being followed by all players. A Referee will explain rules as needed and ensure that all participants understand these rules. Referees make calls regarding when these rules are broken and assess penalties. Referees will stop games as needed to review plays and might use videos to determine if a call has been made correctly.

Baseball Umpire

Baseball umpires play a critical role in ensuring fair play and enforcing the rules of the game during baseball matches. Their responsibilities include making calls on pitches, strikes, balls, and fouls, as well as determining safe or out calls on base runners. Umpires also oversee the conduct of players and coaches, ensuring sportsmanship and fair play throughout the game.
