School Principal (Elementary/Middle/High)
Leads a DoDEA school in Okinawa, using student achievement data to guide school improvement plans, teacher professional development, and programmatic changes.
Responsibilities
- Uses student achievement data and related data to make decisions regarding the school improvement plan, teacher professional development requirements, and programmatic changes.
- Establishes DoDEA educator performance elements and evaluates teacher work.
- Initiates communications between school administration, students, teachers, parents, the local community, and base offices that provide services to the school and/or staff.

Education Requirements
- Master's degree in Educational Administration/Educational Leadership OR Master's degree with 30 semester hours of graduate coursework (minimum 20 hours in Educational Administration/Educational Leadership)
- Official transcripts required (bachelor's, master's, EDS if applicable, doctorate if applicable)
- Alternative: Valid unencumbered fully professional administrator license comparable to DoDEA Principal issued from a State Board of Education or National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS)
Experience Requirements
- General Experience: Minimum 3 years of successful classroom teaching, specialist, or other professional educator experience at Pre-K-12 level
- Specialized Experience: Minimum 2 years in staff or supervisory position demonstrating ability to administer school educational programs and effectively supervise educators and support personnel
